My Alpine SV has developed a nasty vibration/rattle when taking a hard
right turn that sounds like the driveshaft nuckle bearing hitting
something in the driveshaft channel. I had this once before on my
pinto-beam when I broke the rear mounting bracket on a speed bump.
After fixing this myself, I later had some engine work done and they
"aligned" the drive shaft producing a noticeable improvement in the
driving characteristics.
My question is this, is there a proper way to align the driveshaft (I
could find no mention in the manual) and how tough is it to do right, or
was it just my imagination that it made any difference?

P.S. Re: apologies for neglecting web site, add my voice to those saying
it isn't so. In buying my first Alpine, I was given some pages printed
out from the page that described how to buy a Sunbeam. I went right
home and devoured the entire site and started going through the archives
(who-eee, talk about a lot of reading), printing pieces out and making
completely grandiose and unrealistic plans about what my 'next' project
was going to be. When it came time to locate parts, the list of
suppliers on the page got me in touch with Rick, of Sunbeam Specialties,
who has treated me great. Without the web site and the list, I am sure
that I would feel much more alone in my enjoyment of my Alpine and
certainly bitter about about this hole in the pavement that I am pouring
money into. At the risk of starting another thread, anyone else with
any stories about how the site has helped you out?
