Never heard of this problem on an Alpine.

There is no provision for alligning the drive-shaft, hense no mention in
the
manual.

Really there is nothing that you can do, minus replacing defective parts
that contribute to the linup problem.

Here are my thoughts.

Is the chassis bent?
Is the rear end an alpine unit? "ford rear ends are not always dead
middle"
Are the shackles and bushes tight "laterally"?
Do you have a non-alpine drivetrain installed "without driveshaft dead
middle"?
Are you sure its the drive shaft, and not a spider gear in the rear end?
