..reading a book in the bargain-shop yesterday, about
Rootes knock down kits being exported to Iran.
It was one of the UK's largest overseas markets, (pre-Revolution?)
they were assembled as "Peykan"s, until the mid 1980's, if I remember right.
(I didn't buy the book, which was all about car's that never made big sellers)
the picture was of a Hunter clone, but were any earlier cars exported??
Could there be warehouses full of dusty old Rootes artefacts in the Middle
East??
and if so, where's Indiana Jones when you need him??
