Concrete is a very hard material indeed.
If there are no hair-cracks (?) in the ceiling, it is ok. If there are, it
is still ok, but it has put those steel reinforcements in use.

I have a dream to dig & build a garage into my drive. Cars and lawnmovers
not in use could be under the drive and a small car lift could rise them
when you need them.

Why? In Finland you can not build as much you like (at cities). There are
no rules about building underground, so I hope I could dig my whole estate
up and cast underground workshop in concrete beneath my green turf.

Now I have 3 foots all around my Alpine, and it is too little! But it is
imposseble to stretch surrounding concrete basement.

You need building advices, but I do not know if you have some of thease
geographical disadvantages:

- Sibiria frost ( down to -10...-40 centigrades)
- eartquakes (Krakatau phenomena)
- Extreme heath (was your adress in the Death Valley?)
- Wet or soft soil (Everglades, Fla?)
- High tides (needs some floating materials, perhaps)
- Laws and rules which tell you the place of every nail.

A wooden frame with polyurethane / extruded polysthyrene isolation is light
and compact.
