Is this the car that was known as the "Avenger Tiger" here in the UK ?
Spectacularly ugly (IMHO) in bright yellow/ orange with a racing stripe,
but I can't remember the engine specs or much elese about them.
I'm sure I've seen articles on these Avenger Tigers in the
pile of my old car magazines I've got hoarded somewhere.
(probably next to the pile of "bits-of-wood-that-will-come-in-handy-one-day")

this might be the car to start with, Jarrid, if you can find one.

By the way:
I was reading that the Hunter 1500 engine uses exactly the same block as
the 1724cc, and that there are still a few n.o.s. 1500 engines about.
One place in Surrey, England has a few in stock for 99 u.k. pounds.
Of course you'd need 1725 pistons, rods, crank, & cam for an Alpine,
but it still seems like a bargain for what you get...
