Ther is only one gasket on the stomberg carb.

I'd say that the gaskets would likely be sealable, but the diaphragms
will be rock hard after all this time.

The gaskets themselves are cheap, but put a new diaphragm in
each one, and you are in for some money.

I would say that if the piston slides smoothly up and down, doesnt
get hung up and jam and clicks when it hits its base, the carb shouldnt
need to be opened.

You may need to perform a jet centralisation procedure if the action
is smooth, but the piston doesnt return to the base with a click.

Also make sure the shafts arent worn.
Putting in 2 new shafts will cost about the same as the diaphragms,
so its money well spent for the proper rebuild.
