My new alpine engine has over a $7,000 bill attached right now, and
we havent touched the dyno yet.

It goes to show that you have to love the car to own it, and parish the
thought that you should ever have to sell it.

If you were to buy an older retoration for $5000, through two thou for
an engine, a thou to rebuild the rest of the running gear, a thou for
paint,
and a thou for interior, your still be in for less than $10,000, which
is
a bargain considering that it would essentially be a new sports car.

The problem is that you could buy that $5000 car, and it would very
well be a beauty too, but throw thw next $5000 at it to make it a new
car,
and youll only sell it for $7500.

It makes little sense that 2+2 is 3, bat thats the way it is.

What we need to figure out how the Tiger people got their cars
to value "and sell" for 30K+, then hire their PR firm to bring the value
of the alpine up. Surely with all these TAC failed rebodied Algers
running around the alpine must be getting more rare than the Tiger huh?

Me thinks that Ramon Spontelli ought to formally create the
R.A.T.S. A.S.S club, and the first order of business would be to
inflate the value of all AAC'd Alpines.

We would then have a big party "Ramon Brings the Booze", then
in a drunken stupor, poopoo all those "Fake" Husky and Minx
Alpine rebodied cars.

Oohhh wouldnt that be sweet.
