I think that the radiator shop adapts what is available from another off the shelf radiator.

What they do is solder the 3 row core + sides onto your top and bottoms + frame. There seems to be a wide variation in available core sides becuase of all the times I have sent people to have thier radiators 3 rowed, there always seems to be something that fits the bill regardless of the radiator type and shape.

I had a place in Anahiem do my work. Their work was so bad, the radiator began to leak in just a few months. I have since bought a torch and now do my own patching and brazing. I couldnt do a full recore, but I can fix just about everything else that ailes the typical radiator.
