Minx engine in an Alpine?

I finally got around to checking the engine number
in my "new" Alpine. The chassis number is
B395011584 LRX, which is no surprise. The number
on the engine block is HLSX B0311149. According
to Chris McGovern's list, it's from a 1963 Minx De-luxe!
Is this possible? S does stand for saloon, so is
this a high compression 1592 cc Minx engine?

If so, what Alpine engine parts fit on a Minx engine?
