My beautiful sweet little Alpine has been hit - and hit hard. I was making
a left hand turn and another car going through the intersection from the
other direction just stopped. I stopped, he went, I pulled through, BANG,
T-boned by another car coming through the intersection. My right door is a
gonner. The structural part running under the door looks bad on top, but
seems straight on the bottom. And there is a dent clear across on the
other side of the car above the wheel well. It is this one that has me
worried. Is that a sign that the frame is bent? Why? Why did this have
to happen? My little car(at)! It was so happy and running so well. I do
have to say that I am extremely thankful that I walked from that accident
with nothing more than a pain in one of my fingers. The other guy's Nissan
will probably need a new hood and all the front grill work. He seemed ok,
but said his knee hurt. Ugh. I hope my insurance does not go up too much.
Oh, my little car.
Jay.
