I do not know if my car will be totalled yet. The key question is how much
the work will cost and what value the insurance company will place on the
car. If they say the value is $4,000, and the work costs $5,000, I'm sunk.
Steve Alcala told me that he knows of two Alpines that have recently sold
for over $10,000, and that he thinks my Alpine is/was a better car. So,
for me to win with the insurance company I am going to have to have proof
of such sales. Steve will hopefully be able to provide information on
those cars. Does anyone else know about any sales of Alpines in the higher
ranges? Thanks.
