- having a ball with the big new 'merger'.

[an opening 'aside' - the spokesman on our Canada AM Tv news pronounced it 'Dime-ler - Chrysler' (as in the coin) - in all my life I've never heard it pronounced that way - it's always been 'daym-ler-benz' - Mercedes herself would probably turn over in her grave if she had tuned in.]

Did you know that the 'Benzie' (that's what the Hong Kong people call them) - tristar (on the hood) - is much coveted by the Triads - (or is it the Ninjas) - they remove the outer ring and use the three point remains as a 'throwing device' which can be quite deadly. I know - I mysteriously lost two of them during my brief ownership of a '61 220SE when living in Hong Kong. In Hong Kong they say you haven't 'arrived' until you drive (or are chauffeured) in a Mercedes - that is until you really reach the top - and graduate to a Rolls - (Hong Kong has (maybe had) the highest ratio of Rolls Royces per capita of any 'country' in the world - the only problem is the big "RR" emblem doesn't 'throw' worth a damn!)(and there is another problem - Hong Kong is no longer a 'country')

BTW my 220SE was a real 'pig' - no power brakes or steering - 4 speed column mounted 'stick' - and it blew a head gasket just trying to get up the hill to the Peak - but it was a 'pretty' car - in it's white livery.

I would strongly recommend that you do not put the 'tristar' on any Sunbeam product - not even your 'mixmaster'

That's my HK$ two cents worth on the subject.
