I called the guy with the cut out rocker. The extra metal came from a square corner door. So, now we know they added strength - at the expense of weight which they were already concerned about. So, it seems to me that they identified a problem of flex that they were trying to address. So, does that mean I shouldn't go with the Series III body?

I guess they might have made a change to all the cars to accomodate the Tiger if they felt they needed more strength for the Tiger.
