Just got back from the above. What a buzz!

The highlight for me was that I got to drive an Alpine for the first time ever. Warwick Little loaned me his Series I for a convoy on Sunday. It was a bit tatty externally, but in fine fettle underneath and with twin Webers so it made all the right sounds. It felt old fashioned compared to my Imp, but was a heckuvalot more fun to drive than I expected. I can't wait to get mine back on the road now.

When the Tiger boys broke ranks and disappeared into the distance my right foot started itching like crazy, but since it was another guy's car I had to behave. Nnnggggggh, what agony!

The South Australians are to be highly commended for their efforts. I must say though, when they told me Saturday night's entertainment was to be an accordion player, I .... erm ..... well ..... I thought they were kidding!
