Sorry I didn't get the number when I had it apart to repair 6 years ago but the car is now being used by my daughter in Victoria, BC not too far from you. I was talking to the service fellow that worked on the car also and he says Volvo used the Laycock de Normandville O/D up to the early 1990's in the Turbo models obviously with manual gearboxes. He said the last model used was the "P" series O/D with operating pressures in the 400 psi range.
BTW, I just picked up a gearbox with a Laycock de Normandville O/D for a Sunbeam while passing through Chico, CA about 3 weeks ago on a 12,000 mile trip across the U.S. and Canada. The plate only has a serial number - how do you identify what series it is? "J"? "H"?
