Heres another OD option I have discovered.
It seems that the early Jenson Healy's cam with on overdrive too!
More interesting that that is that they used our beloved Rootes all-sync gearbox as well.
These trannies were the long input shaft variety (I think), and probably used the "J" type OD. Me thinks that the input shaft could be swapped out, the correct bell housing installed, and a bolt in OD solution made.
The Rootes 4 speed was considered undesirable on these cars, as the later years were equipped with ZF 4 and 5 speeds. There may be more of the Rootes boxes about than you might think.
Anyone have the resources to research?
