Back in 77-78, I used the Gabriel Adjustable Ez shock at all four corners, I also had some bolt on leaf spring helpers bolted on the rear which helpe to level out the car from the sagging spings in the rear....And it wasn't my Girth...!!....anyway, I had always felt that the front end was too soft. Tapping the brake on the down side of a slow speed bump would bottom the front end. The new shock helped (set on soft) but it was still too soft. I ended up with the front's on Hard, and the rears on med. This along with the Delrin Bushings I had made, made this car very firm on the road. It handled so much better, you wouldn't believe me, but it still wasn't bone jarring like a Mini Cooper or MGB was at that time. My 65 series IV must have had the soft springs up front, before they changed to the stiffer ones of the series V. Those Adjustable E'z were great, and I think I still have them around somewhere. Once they are set to hard, they're a bitch to change to anything else, becasue you can't hardley push them in if they are out. And I was 285 lbs at the time too !! No comment on my current Girth !
