I've seen some of the comments floating abot, about the idea to have a central place for everyone to post particulars about their cars, it's modifications, history, etc. My thoughts are, What a wonderful shopping list for someone looking to steal a car. He/she can search for the exact one they want, maybe just for a part or two. Yeah, I know it'll be password protected, but you know what, so was the DoD, NASA, and DoE systems. Finding something on the net that is protected is just like waving a red flag in front of the bull. Hackers just gotta try. And I am convinced that none of us has more expertise than the gov'ment. Something as simple as having the License plate number showing, or the vin number might point a person to a DMV database which gives your home address. Opps your car is gone?

Well, While I have a pretty nce Tiger, I want to keep it, so I wont be posting mu info to any public data base even though it is supposed to be private.

my 2 cents worth.

plus what Steve said about not telling what is bad...
