That brings up a possible "Ole Olympics" event at the next SUNI. We could have a "Lucas Overdrive" Race with a LeMans start. At the gun, drivers run to their cars, jump in, and crank their starters (the coil wires would be disconnected) to propel their car across an imaginary intersection. The first car over the line wins. Crash teams could stand by with fire extinguishers and liquid nitrogen to cool off those red-hot Lucas starters. How about it Ole?

Rules: 1. No modified starters or gears, stock batteries and wiring. (Roger Penske tactics) 2. Spark plugs must be left in, and valves adjusted normally (engines with low compression would actually have an advantage. 3. No lightened cars. Spare must be in trunk. 4. Winners would actually have to start their cars after the race, or maybe the first one to get over the line, hook up the coil wire, and start the car wins.

Half joking, half serious, half twisted.
