Kurt, I agree that the list is a great resource, but I think it can only do so much for us, especially on a local level. Speaking for myself, I would like a local Alpine club so that I and others can benefit from person to person get togethers. I think the list goes a long way in offering tech support much like that found in marque newsletters. Perhaps we don't need more there (however, I wouldn't mind having another source of bathroom reading ;-). I'm not sure what kind of parts support TE/AE members get, but I do know that CAT offers very little in Alpine exclusive parts and quite a bit in Tiger exclusive parts. This is why I believe an Alpine club is important. We need the clout that numbers (members) can give us in order to offer Alpine exclusive parts to our members, or at the very least provide a referral service that allows members to locate the parts (new & used) they need easily. And most important of all, I want a place where I can go to drink a few beers with those that share my passion. 'Nuf said.
