A client in the valve-service (petrochemical) business uses naphtha. I used one of their wash tanks to remove the undercarriage protectant sprayed on the back of my headlamp bowls.

Has anyone tried going the other way, and hardening the tar with (dry) ice before chipping it off? Fortunately, my floors had no black goo, just bits of yellow contact cement.

If an Alpine owner (who is not me) wants to have a page on the SUNI III site to maintain a list of Alpinos attending, or organize some kind of Alpinista get-together while there, that would be OK by me. The site (not yet [obviously] public) already has some spots for audience participation, so we can test the viability of a 'Net Club event. Select a point-man, and we can work out the details.

The new SUNI site ought to be announced by week's end. If you're on the Alpines List and notice something about my URL patterns you could see it right now. But I have to be fair and can't say any more, eh?...
