<< ." that somebody asked the guy to park his car somewhere away from the "nice" ones? >> With the old Sunbeam Car Club we had began a award that was called "Most Original Sunbeam". This award was begun to get a better turn out of the "non-mint, totally restored" Alpines and Tigers. I found after about five meets that the same nice cars showed up, but many of the restorations in progress or daily drivers stayed home. This award was given to the "Most Original" or better yet, the car that was not restored at all... This type of award along with "Traveled the longest distance" to a meet gets those non- mint cars to events. After these awards came to be our turn out of non restored cars picked up. Sunbeam meets or any car meet should be fellow owners getting together to share common interests and all Sunbeams should feel free to come. People who just purchased a Alpine or other Sunbeam should be encouraged to participate not be asked to park away from the so called mint ones....
