I think it's only fair to include my other Rootes vehicles, so here goes -

1966 Series V, 86 with black interior, factory backup lamps and added OD. Bought from the original owner, I've had her since 1981.

1967 Series V, white with no interior - bought as a parts car, but too solid to part. Has been in inside storage for 15 years, waiting for the dreaded day when someone does something stupid to my other Alpine, like they did to Jay's!

1967 Sunbeam Highwayman camper - a Commer 2500 van, coachbuilt in the UK as a "caravanette". 1725 has been freshly rebuilt, and heavily modified from the stock cast-iron unit. Running again after a 2 1/2 year engine rebuild.

1961 Humber Super Snipe - Embassy Black w/ red leather , auto, PS, reclining buckets. 65,000 mile car. Car was a London delivered, US market car. They even did European delivery way back then!

1962 Humber Super Snipe - navy w/powder blue leather, 3-on-the-tree w/added OD. RHD car, imported in the mid 80s. 185,000 miles, and still going strong. My daily driver at the moment!

1972 Plymouth Cricket - OK, so the VIN plate says "Chrysler UK", but the thermostat housing says ROOTES! Yellow w/ black interior, auto, 1500 single carb engine. 42,000 genuine little-old-lady miles, VERY solid for a northeast car. (I replaced the head gasket on this car shortly after I started driving it due to a slight oil leak. The bores still have the crosshatch, it's so nice inside!) Looking for a new owner, as this one has his hands full with the other five cars!!
