Your comment about one member wanting to complete a set - Bob Hamilton has already done the hat trick (saloon, coupe', and roadster).

Some years back, I had the fantastic experience of attending both the STAR (Sunbeam Talbot Alpine Register / 1939 to 1957) and SAOC (Sunbeam Alpine Owners Club / 1959 to 1967) National rallies. At the risk of stereotypes, I was one of the oldest people at the SAOC event and one of the youngest at STAR. In terms of numbers, the STAR meet had about 40 cars and SAOC nearly 200.

So, to answer your question - yes, there is an enthusiastic British following of the later sporty cars. This probably will best be displayed by the 19 Alpine entries in the Isle of Man races in September and a dozen Tigers.
