This has to qualify as one of the largest, and certainly one of the most active, Rootes organizations (and I use that term loosley). It is a good base and vehicle for reaching out to the not-yet-connected. A few questions:
1. What would be our purpose (focus) as a club (50 words or less). i.e. "To promote and preserve the ________ marque, and to share the pleasure and challenges of owning, restoring, maintaining, and driving these cars."
2. Who are we trying to serve (Alpines? Sunbeams? Rootes?). We need to figure this out. We started with Alpines, and are now at Rootes. I think we need an Alpine club, even if its under the umbrella of a Rootes club.
3. What new services and products can we offer as a club? -newsletters (electronic & otherwise) -events, calendars, coordiantion. -Repro parts development, technical guides -Forums, conferences -Web pages, mailing lists, chat sessions, A "Ring" of linked web resources for Rootes. -Others?
4. How will be we be organized to deliver the services? -Governance, authorized spokespeople, decision makers -Dues -Membership & marketing -Logos
