Congratulations on your new portfolio, Irv. I would recommend picking up a
copy of "How to Restore Your Collector Car", by Tom Brownell. All the large
bookstore chains carry it. That will give you an idea of the process,
tools, and materials you will need. Also pick up a good manual on the Talbot
90 range, and some catalogs from parts suppliers. Plan to take your time,
and figure at least 2 to 3 times your estimated time for jobs you haven't
done.
You'll get lots of opinions wether to tackle the cosmetics or mechanicals
first. You'll never get it on the street without the mechanicals, and no
one will notice what you've done until it looks pretty. It might be good
for someone who has worked with these cars to look it over and answer some
of your questions. You might have to supply the beer (or do ministers do
that?).
