You can lighten any of the alpine flywheels. The SV flywheel is lightest to start off with, but the earlier flywheels have better clutch options, so its a wash.

Take your flywheel to someone who KNOWs how to lighten a flywheel. The bulk of the mass removal should be from the outside, where each pound of removal results in a lower moment of inertia relative to a pound taken from the inside.

The machining process should leave large radius's on all the cuttings to insure that the flywheel doesnt become a bomb.
