Can't give you a totally reliable answer as I was too busy drinking beer and
stuffing chips in my mouth between words!!! Most of those who came enjoyed
meeting new faces, seeing the old and sharing the photo albums, the fabulous
alpines that came and taking turns with your car! I for one did not hear of
any talk of forming another alpine club . The idea of having another get
together like yours at somebody elses house was raised and agreed upon.
Our Sunbeam club , The San Diego Sunbeam Owners Group (SDSOG) has monthly
meetings at local pubs and quarterly at peoples homes. The August meeting
was just held tonight at Chris and Terry Edlunds and I have the November
meeting at my house. However, our meetings are Tue nights......and its a
long drive for a couple of hours... Maybe I can have a get together at my
house on a Sunday.....for any and all and perhaps we can visit Smittys for a
tour too!! Any takers? Everyone at your get together seemed pleased and
voiced their approval at having another one at someone elses home......I
think local areas should have get togethers to share knowledge, parts and
cars..........any other inputs please add on this thread!! Bob
Willis.......Ps: it was worth the drive !!
