I just talked with the owner of the car in question. It's a '73 Jensen-Healey that, despite two passes at rebuilding, has a habit of jumping out of 4th (50-60mph) that starts not too long after the rebuild. The best BritCar guy (no slouch) in town is stumped. The gearbox is supposed to be the same as, or similar to, a late-Series Rapier HD120 box.

I'm told the first CAN$28,000 + shipping takes it. I couldn't in good faith give the car to anyone in CA for fear of you shrinking in the heat off the firewall and not being able to help us all out. :)
