late Rapier gearbox

A friend of a friend has asked me whether someone "out there" might have a late-series Rapier gearbox, supposedly suitable for use in his early-70s Jensen.

OR

If you know why he might have problems with top-gear, despite having the box serviced by someone of fine repute, let me know what you know.

I'm hoping he'll be so thrilled at the solution that he'll give me his very-lovely '67 E-type. ...right...
