Dick and others,

They are extremely thin sleeves that are made in tousandths of an inch increments on the diameter and made to be pressed onto a shaft where there there is damage or a groove from an oil seal rubbing on it. They come in all sizes and each size fits a certain range of diameter shafts. They come with their own application tool - one time use.
