Since I am building the world's fastest Sunbeam using twin turbos on a smal
block Ford, I got to wondering if anyone out there had updated their 'pines
with a turbo? It would seem that installing the EFI and ignition from any
of the 4 bangers and adding a small turbo (T03) from say an 84/85 T-bird
would make an absolute screamer. And it would start easier and for sure
give every known Tiger a run for their money (and I own a Tiger). Just for
instance, I purchased my two turbos for 200 bucks, total. Get the EFI and
ignition from say an Escort or something with a slightly larger motor,
modify the intake for the injectors, add pertronic trigger in distributor,
etc. Seems easy...but probably isn't. Also, those turbos I mentioned are
but 1 of many but these have water cooled bearings. I wouldn't mind
assisting on such a project either by e-mail or hands on if close enough to
where I live...
