T.J. and the alpine clan .
(Open letter to T.J.)
I know full well the delemma of tasks that need to get done, without
the time to do them.
The Alpine web page has progressed somewhat over the years,
and few could argue that lack of regular updates has resulted in the
web page being any less usefull than it trully is.
Personally, I use the web page and or its link, regularly for technical
refference, or tracking down list archive info.
The web page is a very valuble resource.
This being said, I'd hate to see you leave such a collaboration of
work just becuase you are short of time.
Based upon your post, it would appear that you have some people (4?)
that are aware of what it is that is done in programming a web page.
May I make the reccomendation that you not step down, in favour
of appointing some co-collaborators with appropriate permissions
and FTP access to the code.
This would allow you to continue your work on the page, while
others can perform the occasional housekeeping, image additions,
so on and so forth.
Again, thank you for your wonderfull work, and I hope you take
my reccomendation to heart.
