Subject: help, my brakes pull !!

Hi Guys,

I need all your brainpower to solve the following problem:

The brakes are pulling to the left.

My car is an Alpine LHD GT IV '64 and the brake parts and lines/linings/pads/seals are only
two years old, approx 7.000 km driven since.

I've flushed the system and the pedal feels hard (cold as well as hot)
I've changed the brake pads left to right and v.v. pads are the same make/size
I've changed disks left to right and v.v. effect: first pulling to the right then later
          again pulling to the left
I've adjusted and exchanged the rear brake shoes (no effect)
I've tested that the cilinders of the calipers all are moving freely in and out
There is no brake fluid leak anywhere.
There is no grease or dirt on the disks or brake shoes.
I've used new fluid dot3
The brake hoses are replaced and of the same make/size
The calipers are the same make/size (not replaced just overhauled with new pistons and seals)
The disks are skimmed (one disk is slightly .5 mm thicker then the other, one is very lightly pitted)
The handbrake is new and working OK
The rear brake cilinders are free and clean and OK
The rear base plates are fixed.
The left and right front shock absorbers are OK.
The front tires have been exchanged, pressures checked tires are the same make/profile
The wheels are turning freely when adjusted, front bearing torques/end-float are set up correctly
The brake sevo has been overhauled and is working correctly, no sticking piston
The car drives in a straight line, there is no play in the steering joints, although one
joint is wet by the oil in the steering unit (left upper ball joint)

I'm going to measure the chassis points next for any accident damage in the past
and open up the right front system to look for any blockages in the caliper or pipes.

Any ideas appreciated !

Thanks Bert
