I guess it depends upon what type of one man bleeder you own.
The cheapie type is a rubber tube with a one way ball valve in it.
These dont work.
The good type employs a hand vacuum pump and a volume to
suck the fluid into.
This type works very well at least for me anyhow, particularly
since my wife is not as friendly at 2 o-clock in the morning, on the
day of a speed event.
Another benefit of the vacuum bleed, is you get to see the bubbles
stop, and there is no mess on the brake parts or the floor when
you are done.
