perhaps this is a good time to break in with a question. I recently acquired
an Alpine and I'm trying to sort it all out.
On my series 1 with overdrive, the activation stalk switch (i imagine) is on
the left side of the steering column opposite the turn signal on the right. I
can't really tell if it is simply a two position - up/down- switch, but it
appears to be. The real question is engagement- up or down on the stalk, and
when is it appropriate to engage/ disengage? I have heard if it's engaged
when you shift into reverse, baaaddd things happen!
Any input/advice would be appreciated!
