Duh - I dunno', seems like good stuff to use. Use engine oil if you want
to, I'd go with ATF. By now any O/D from the sixties has likely been
overhauled and the original seals replaced with ones made with modern
materials. There is no magic to these O/D units, a pump that has no seals
or rings and two cylinders with seals. Everything else is standard gasket
material.
I would say that ATF has a more constant viscosity over a wider range of
tempratures that motor oil, but I have been wrong once before! :)
