I was told by a transmission rebuilder years ago that the Model 35 Borg Warner did not need the driveline disconnected to tow it, as it has a rear pump just like a torque-flight. Since it has a rear pump, there is plenty of lubrication, and in fact you can compression start a Model 35 equipped Rootes- mobile. I've done it many times! Jim Leach, Seattle
