Ive done the deed.
First pull the cotter pin from the axle nut, then remove the axle nut.
Next you'll need a special hub puller.
You need to take an old set of knockoffs (1 right, 1 left), drill a hole
in the center (<5/8") get a fine pitched 5/8 bolt, and nut, sharpen the end of the bolt on a lathe or a grinder so the point is centered. Put the nut on the inside of the knockoff, screw the bolt through the outside of the knockoff, through the nut on the inside. Put the knockoff on the hub, till it bottoms out, then tighten the bolt till it makes contact with the axle. Tighten little by little, wrapping on the head of the bolt occasionally with a hammer. It'l pop off sooner or later.
Wire wheel hubs come off easier than the normal hubs because the whire hubs stay greasy inside, and the elements dont get to the nut and axle like they do with the 4 bolt variety.
Hope this helps.
