First I stripped all the old paint, 3 layers - black, (believe it) yellow, and grey. I cleaned the raised letters, all in perfect shape, under magnification. Then I used a ScotchBrite pad to cut the remaining finish a little.
There are a few nicks I'm going to fill in with hobby enamel (model paint) - they're too shallow for any filler I know of. Then I'll take it to a paint booth available to me, wash it with a pre-paint solvent and paint it with Mar-Hyde Automotive Trim.
Ditto for the steering wheel cowling and glovebox trim.
Any (future) problems with this?
