I installed my ac/delco pump in my SV on the passenger side, forward part
of the x-frame on the outside of the x (as opposed to the inside) right
where the fuel line passes through the member. I think I replaced the
entire line with standard rubber fuel line and simply split it at that
point, install an in-line filter before the pump and carried the line up to
the carbs. This was the second electric pump I have installed. The first
was I believe of inferior quality and was prone to running wildly I believe
from its proximity to the exhaust pipe resulting in some vaporization of
the fuel in the pump. The ac/delco has not exhibited this condition in the
same location.
