I have been diligently working at getting some paint chip colors up on my
revamped Alpine website. Since all computer monitors and printers see things
differently, it is difficult to have any sort of true consistency. Without
getting too technical, my solution will be to have a downloadable file with
very specific printing instructions and settings (similar to how we color
correct films for theatrical release) which can be taken to a service bureau
and printed for about $25-30. Although this will help give a much better
indication of the different Alpine colors, help greatly with consistency, and
enable someone to even choose a color; it should not be used as a paint chip
for mixing colors. Always use mixing codes for colors. I have one or two more
technical issues to work out (printing-wise) before I post some colors. I will
keep you all posted...
