I recommend sleeving the cylinders if they're pitted.  There is some
debate as to what is best (stainless or brass) because of a galvanic
electrical reaction between ss and aluminum.  I have been told that the
danger is minimal.  My master is sleeved with ss and I'm quite happy
with it, so far.  My wheel cylinders were slightly pitted and I scuffed
them up with a brake hone using a hand drill.  Apparently one of thm
was pitted badly and has now failed so I'll probably end up sleeving
them.  If you're interested I can refer you to someone who does
sleeving at a very reasonable price.
