Brakes and Clutch.

This weekend I plan to start rebuilding the brake and clutch master
cylinders. I was reading the archive and noticed several people advise
to "hone" them out. I what that that means, I just dont know exactly
how to go about it. The car has been sitting for 20 years. Neither
brakes or clutch work at present and I would assume there is some
pitting inside. Any Suggestions.
