Hi I am new here and my first post is a cry for help....although I dont have
the good fortune to own an Alpine myself I have come across the dubious task
of performing the body restoration on my friends Series 3 alpine...minor rust
easy enough...over all not a bad base for a project but the right front fender
worried me as it seemed to have a "wave" to it...after stripping and yes god
help me chiseling...it was found to be 1/2 thick layer of bondo over what may
have been a fender at one point....what I am saying is any
fender...rusty...minor dents...whatever has got to be a better starting point
than this....any help is GREATLY appreciated....dont want to resort to
bondoing the hell out of it again...(which is what I have been instructed to
do if a suitable replacement cant be found) a car this rare and special
deserves better.
