In completing the rebuild of the engine on my new Series III GT I have several
carb options. I was wondering if I could get some feedback as to the pros and
cons of each option. Please don't just dismiss an option out of hand. I really
want to know why you don't like a certain option.
1) I have a set of the older twin Zeniths that came with my other III GT.
This is incorrect for this vehicle.
2) I have the single Solex that came with the new III GT. This is correct
for this vehicle.
3) I can hide a Weber under the GT air filter system. This is REALLY not
correct for this vehicle.
Those who know me on this list, know that I like orginality. However, if the
Solex is THAT bad I will bag it and go with the Zenith. If the Zenith is THAT
much better than the Zenith I will do a single Weber.
