Hi all,
I just subscribed to the list, and boy do I have some burning
questions. I own a series II alpine that I am restoring. It had rusted
out floor pans, but the price was right came with a series V engine and
trans. The floor pans are fixed (I'm now a farly good welder), the
engine is back in and I soon will be painting the exterior. Which is a
good lead in to my first question:
How do I get the doors off? I can see how to unscrew the hinges, but I
don't see how to free the door stop (chock?, strap). Next, did any of
these cars come with a limited slip differential, if so how do I tell?
Last (for now), did any of the 1967-76(?) Sunbeam Rapier Fastbacks ever
get inported to the U.S?

P.S. I am a car junky. 1967 Mercedes 250SE coupe, 1969 Mercedes 280SEL,
and the series II. With only 3 cars I feel the need to get another, on
the prowl for Rovers, Mercedes, ?.
