The switch for the dash lights is slightly different from the one used
for the wiper switch. At a casual glance, it looks the same, but if you
look carefully, you will see, at one end of the switch, there are three
resistors mounted one above the other, right up against the body of the
switch. So the resistance for the dimmed position is incorporated into
the switch. The dash lights should be on bright, on dimmed, or off,
whenever the side lights are switched on.

Back to blower motors for a second. There was a blower motor used in
later cars, certainly later Tigers, which was a two speed motor in its
own right (two power in wires plus a ground wire). As such it only needs
to be hooked up to a three position switch. Single speed motors (one
wire plus ground) need the external resistor set-up to be able to
operate at two speeds.
