Or is it the other way around? Do you turn the drive shaft 1 turn and
wheel goes 4.22 or 3.89 which is it. I read this once before but
couldn't remember. Rob W

Steve,   I suspect my SV is one of those built with a 4.22 but how do
you determine that without going in and counting teeth? Do you turn the
drive shaft 4,22 times and see if the wheel turned exactly 1 revolution?

I went out to the car( SV on jack stands ) put a rim on the rear hub
and started spinning, After 9 revolutions of the rim I had counted 19
revolutions of the drive shaft. Doing the math I get 2.11 turns of the
drive shaft to 1 revolution of the wheel. Can anyone tell me by this
information if I have a 4.22 or 3.89 rear end?
