I understand from guru Jarrid that the tachs are temperature sensative. I
had the same experience with my Alpine and asked a year ago.
I know a great shop in Torrence that aligns both my Alpine and Porsche.
They specialize in Porsches. It's called Johnson Alignment. I don't have
the number with me. The first time I went there, I brought my Alpine spec
book for the alignment figures. The guy later said that he almost threw me
out when I offered him the book (in jest). He asked me what type of
driving I would do with it - touring, aggressive or racing. I of course
went with aggressive. I don't know exactly what he did. But the results
were an amazing noticable difference.
